The placenta is treated as a food source, meaning it is stored and transported at the correct temperature and all surfaces and equipment are sanitised and strict Food Hygiene and Blood
Borne Pathogen standards are followed. All equipment is either single use and disposed of or fully cleaned and disinfected with hospital grade cleaners and bleach.
Your placenta is processed in dedicated placenta-specific work space. Only one placenta is ever processed at a time. If we have two in our possession then one is labelled and stored in our lockable placenta-only fridge until the other has finished processing.
